The 20 Medical Personnel who face trial in Bahrain are appealing for your support:
Dear All,
The accused Bahraini Medical Personnel are grateful to you for continuing to follow their case, which has been dragging on for the past year through Bahrain’s courts, and which is both unjust in the extreme and absolutely fabricated.
They are requesting close monitoring in coming days, and appeal for delegates from as many international organisations as possible to attend and witness their final court sessions. The last session will be on 10th May 2012, where the defense will present their pleadings before the final verdicts, (despite the fact that most of the cases concerning torture of the doctors have not taken their just course, and that none of the torturers have been charged or subject to trial).
We urge you to issue statements to the Bahraini Government authenticating your organisations intention to monitor, and to follow up during and afterwards with the Court.
We are thankful for your great support in our struggle to prove our innocence.
Best regards,
